MISSING YOU ~ by Harlan Coben

I love me some Harlan Coben.

Just not this one.

I spent the entire book trying to curb my desire to strangle the main character, Kat. She’s supposed to be a super-fly, smart NYPD cop. She’s suppose to be tough and smart. But I found her to be incredibly inane, whiny and all over the place. I wanted to slap some sense into her. Then strangle her for being so dense.

Now, there was a whole other subplot going on in the background that had little to do with Kat until the end. That part was good. Nice and creepy. Then Kat came and took down the creepy bad guys. Sort of. She had a lot of help. Actually, by the time she got there, the show was almost over.

Go Kat.

At any rate. I love me some Harlan Coben. I look forward to his next release, which I hear is a Myron Bolitar book. And Myron rocks.

Missing You just didn’t cut it.
